High-Profile Robber Arrested for Stealing Rs 50 Lakh Worth of Valuables from Congress Leader’s Residence

Commissionerate Police successfully arrested a high-profile robber responsible for a burglary at the residence of senior Congress leader Niranjan Patnaik. The robbery occurred on January 26, when the thief, identified as Satish Reddy, stole gold ornaments and cash worth Rs 50 lakh from Patnaik’s home in IRC Village.

Patnaik and his wife were asleep on the ground floor when the burglary took place. The suspect’s movements were captured on CCTV footage, which led to his identification and arrest 19 days later in Vijayawada. Authorities also discovered that Reddy had attempted to rob another millionaire’s house before targeting Patnaik’s residence.

The police have successfully recovered the stolen items, and Reddy has been taken into custody for further interrogation. The arrest highlights the swift action taken by the police to solve this high-profile crime.
