Hermon Woman Arrested in Potsdam with Fentanyl, Cocaine, and Meth

Elizabeth Daniels Faces Multiple Felony Drug Charges After Traffic Stop

POTSDAM, N.Y. (WWTI) — A 39-year-old woman from Hermon, New York, is facing multiple felony drug charges following a traffic stop on January 15 in Potsdam.

According to the St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department, Elizabeth Daniels was stopped on County Route 59. After the stop, authorities conducted a search that allegedly uncovered significant amounts of illegal substances. Police reported seizing 150 packets of fentanyl, 18 grams of cocaine, and 11 grams of methamphetamine from Daniels.

Daniels now faces several charges, including criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal possession of drug paraphernalia, specifically scales.

She was arraigned in the Potsdam Court and was remanded to the St. Lawrence County Jail without bail.

The arrest highlights ongoing efforts to combat drug trafficking and distribution in the region, with authorities continuing to take action against illegal narcotics.
