Henry Rogers Sentenced for Meth Trafficking in W.Va.

Barboursville Man Sentenced to 4 Years for Meth Trafficking

CHARLESTON, W.Va. – A 66-year-old man from Barboursville has been sentenced to federal prison after authorities found a significant amount of methamphetamine and a firearm during a traffic stop.

According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of West Virginia, Henry Rogers was sentenced to four years in prison, followed by three years of supervised release, for possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance.

The incident occurred in February 2023, when law enforcement officers pulled Rogers over on U.S. Route 19 in the Birch River area of Nicholas County. During the stop, officers discovered more than 200 grams of methamphetamine and a pistol inside the vehicle.

Prosecutors also noted that Rogers had a prior conviction related to conspiring to manufacture methamphetamine.
