Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan has announced the indictment of Heinsky Anacreon, 38, in connection with the 2009 murder of Charline Rosemond. The case, which had remained unsolved for over 16 years, has brought new attention to a tragic crime that left a young woman dead and her family devastated.

Rosemond, 23, was last seen alive on April 7, 2009, in Somerville, Massachusetts, after withdrawing $4,100 from the bank with plans to buy a used Lexus GS300. However, her life was tragically cut short when she was lured into a remote parking lot, where she was shot in the head. She was found dead six days later in her father’s car, which had been abandoned in a parking lot.

Investigators believe Anacreon and his accomplice, Roberto Jeune (who was later found to be a close friend of Rosemond), tricked her into believing that Jeune could get her the same car at a better price. Instead, they allegedly murdered Rosemond and stole the money she had withdrawn for the purchase.

Prosecutors revealed that Anacreon admitted to providing the .44 Magnum firearm used to kill Rosemond and later disposed of the weapon by throwing it into a body of water. The murder weapon has never been recovered.

Following the killing, Anacreon and Jeune allegedly celebrated the crime with a bottle of champagne, while Rosemond’s family desperately searched for her. The shocking details were revealed when Anacreon was arrested and indicted for first-degree murder, willfully misleading a police officer, and willfully misleading an attorney.

District Attorney Ryan called the indictment the first step in ensuring justice for Charline Rosemond, a promising young woman whose life was stolen for $4,000. Ryan added, “Charline Rosemond was a hard-working young woman with her whole life ahead of her. We allege today that she was murdered in cold blood by two men who took her life for a small amount of money.”

Anacreon is currently serving a six-year sentence for an unrelated charge but will return to court on June 24 to face charges in this case. Roberto Jeune died of natural causes in Philadelphia on July 8, 2024, but authorities have said he too would have been indicted if he were alive.
