HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – A woman is in custody after being caught in a vehicle reported stolen from the estate of late boxing icon George Foreman, according to the Harris County Constable’s Office.
On June 16, deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 7700 block of FM 1960 Road East, where they identified 31-year-old Heaven Leigh Platt as the driver of a Mercedes SUV previously reported stolen from Foreman’s estate in Huffman, Texas.
Platt was found to have an active felony warrant from Brazoria County for burglary of a coin-operated machine, and was booked into the Harris County Jail. Her bond is currently set at $10,000. While charges for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle were declined due to her possession of the keys, investigators say additional charges are forthcoming.
The Foreman family had reported the vehicle and technical equipment missing from their 29-acre estate, which features a 55-car garage and is listed for sale at $9.5 million. Deputies used license plate recognition (LPR) to track the vehicle.
Constable Mark Herman confirmed Platt’s arrest and emphasized that the investigation into the theft and related crimes remains active.
George Foreman, who passed away on March 21, 2025, at the age of 76, was a renowned heavyweight champion, businessman, and minister. His legacy includes the George Foreman Grill and a large family with five sons all named George.
