HAVELOCK, N.C. — A Havelock man is facing multiple felony charges after a search warrant was executed at his residence on Friday, Feb. 13, as part of an ongoing investigation into the sale and distribution of illegal narcotics.
The Havelock Police Department said the warrant targeted the home of Warren Banks Jr., 24. The search resulted in the seizure of:
63 grams of cocaine
6 grams of psilocybin mushrooms
14 Oxycodone pills
426 grams of marijuana
$5,647 in U.S. currency
4 firearms
Banks was arrested and charged with:
Felony trafficking cocaine
Felony possession with intent to sell and deliver a Schedule I controlled substance
Seven counts of felony possession with intent to sell and deliver a Schedule II controlled substance
Felony maintaining a dwelling for the sale of controlled substances
Felony possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana
Possession of drug paraphernalia
According to HPD, Banks was also served with an Order for Arrest out of Craven County. He is currently being held without bond, with a first appearance scheduled in Craven County.
Authorities said the investigation remains ongoing.
The seizure of narcotics, cash, and firearms underscores HPD’s efforts to combat illegal drug distribution in the Havelock community.
