Two members of the notorious Himanshu Bhau gang, wanted for a murder in Haryana, were arrested following a police encounter in the Narela Industrial Area of Outer North Delhi on Saturday morning.
The accused have been identified as Mohit Vashisht (24) and Bhumit Malik (21), both hailing from Rohtak, Haryana. According to the police, when the Special Cell intercepted them, the duo opened fire. The police retaliated in self-defense, injuring both suspects in their legs.
The pair is alleged to have murdered a man named Anil in Rohtak on June 1, reportedly as an act of revenge for the 2022 killing of gangster Bhau’s cousin and uncle.
During the operation, authorities recovered one pistol, one revolver, four live cartridges, and a stolen motorcycle linked to the accused.
The arrested gangsters have been taken into custody, and further investigations are underway.
