HARTFORD, Conn. (WFSB) — Hartford police arrested 11 people during a citywide drug and firearm enforcement operation on October 22, recovering multiple firearms, narcotics, and cash.
The operation targeted known drug hot spots and areas with frequent citizen complaints. Officers seized:
1,443 sleeves of fentanyl
93 grams of crack cocaine
7 grams of powder cocaine
$2,043 in cash
Springfield Armory .45 caliber handgun with two magazines (15 rounds)
GSG Firefly .22 caliber handgun with 10 rounds
Among those arrested:
Jose Ortiz-Rosado, 50, faces charges including criminal possession of a firearm, carrying a pistol without a permit, possession of narcotics, possession with intent to sell, and third-degree trespassing.
Antonio Alvarez, 24, charged with carrying a pistol without a permit.
Isaiah Culver, 25, charged with possession of narcotics, possession with intent to sell, interfering with police, and third-degree trespassing.
Lizzimarie Oizzini Ortiz, 31, charged with possession of narcotics and possession with intent to sell.
Mark Rodriguez, 29, charged with possession of narcotics, possession with intent to sell, and operating an unregistered vehicle.
“This operation underscores the dedicated efforts of Hartford’s Vice and Narcotics Division, whose proactive approach continues to disrupt illegal narcotics distribution and firearm activity within the city,” the police department said in a Facebook post.
