A heated business rivalry turned fatal late Saturday night when 26-year-old Harshal Anil Saudagar was stabbed to death near Gujri Chowk in Lakadganj.
Harshal, who worked in the repossession of vehicles with defaulted loans, reportedly had ongoing disputes with others in the same line of business. What began as verbal threats escalated into violence around 11:45 pm on July 27.
According to the FIR filed by Harshal’s uncle, Sudhir Saudagar, four men confronted him near Gujri Chowk over an old business-related dispute. During the altercation, one of the accused fatally stabbed Harshal. Bystanders attempted to intervene, but the attack left him grievously injured. He succumbed to his injuries before help could arrive.
The accused arrested by Lakadganj police include:
Prajwal alias Farooq Namdev Kanarkar (24) – Timki Bhankheda
Prajwal alias Pajju Sudhakar Dorle (24) – Nawabpura Masjid, Kotwali
Vaibhav alias Condom Hiraman Hedau (28) – Gujri Chowk
Rahul alias Dadya Dashrath Shete (33) – Gujri Chowk
All four have been booked under sections 103 and 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) for culpable homicide amounting to murder.
