Mehatpur police arrested Harjindar Singh, alias Reetha, from Umrewal village for overselling heroin and intoxicant tablets. Authorities recovered 10 grams of heroin, 79 intoxicating tablets, and Rs 4,200 in cash from his possession.
Meanwhile, Nurmahal police arrested another drug peddler, Babal Deep Singh of Uppal Khalsa village, seizing 129 intoxicant tablets from him.
Both arrests mark a significant crackdown on drug trafficking in the region.
