A man from Srinivaspura was arrested on Tuesday for allegedly killing his wife at their home in Bommanahalli, Bengaluru, following a domestic dispute.
The accused, Harish Kumar, a civil engineer and currently unemployed, has been booked for the murder of his 29-year-old wife, Padmaja, also an engineer employed at a private firm in the city.
The tragic incident took place at their residence, where a heated argument reportedly escalated into violence. Harish is said to have fatally attacked Padmaja during the confrontation.
The couple had been married for several years and are parents to two young daughters, aged 3.5 and 1.5 years. The children were reportedly present in the house at the time of the incident.
Police have registered a case of homicide and domestic violence, and Harish has been taken into custody for further investigation.
Authorities are also arranging care for the two children as the case proceeds.
