In a tragic incident in Bengaluru’s Bommanahalli area, 34-year-old Harish BK was arrested for allegedly murdering his wife, Padmaja Harish, following a domestic dispute. The police reported that the argument erupted after Padmaja, 29, went shopping without informing Harish.
According to police officials, the confrontation occurred Sunday evening when Padmaja returned home from her shopping trip. In a fit of rage, Harish reportedly suffocated her by trampling her neck with his feet.
Both Harish and Padmaja were engineering graduates from Kolar and had been living and working in Bengaluru for the past five years. While Padmaja continued her job at a private firm, Harish had quit his job several months prior and had been unemployed since.
Bommanahalli police inspector AD Preetham said, “The couple often quarreled over petty issues, and Harish’s behavior had grown increasingly suspicious and aggressive, which unfortunately culminated in this tragic act.”
Authorities have taken Harish into custody and are conducting further investigations into the case.
