In two major breakthroughs, the Delhi Police have either captured or neutralised two notorious criminals involved in multiple violent crimes across Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, and Gurugram.

Hamza Nabbed After Rohini Encounter

The Delhi Crime Branch arrested Hamza, a key accused in the brutal murder of Adil in Meerut, following an encounter in the Rohini area on Thursday. According to officials, Hamza sustained a bullet injury to the leg during the operation.

Hamza was wanted for abducting and murdering Adil, a resident of Lisadi Gate, Meerut. The victim was taken to a nearby jungle where he was shot three times in the chest at point-blank range, an act recorded on a mobile phone. A 12-second video of the incident later surfaced online, causing widespread outrage.

During interrogation, Hamza confessed to the crime and admitted to shooting another individual, Wasi, in a separate 2024 incident. His close associate Julkmar was previously arrested by Meerut Police after a shootout, but Hamza had evaded arrest until now.

Bhim Mahabahadur Jora Killed in East of Kailash Encounter

In a separate high-risk operation, Delhi Police’s Special Staff and the Gurugram Crime Branch neutralised Bhim Mahabahadur Jora, a dreaded criminal wanted in multiple cases of murder, dacoity, and burglary, during an encounter at Aastha Kunj Park, near East of Kailash, in the early hours of October 7.

Acting on a tip-off, a joint team led by Inspector Rajender Singh Dagar and Inspector Narender Sharma launched the operation around midnight. When intercepted, Jora opened fire on the police. In retaliation, officers fired five rounds, fatally injuring him.

Jora was rushed to AIIMS Trauma Centre, where he was declared dead on arrival.

Police recovered:

A sophisticated automatic pistol

One live round

Several empty cartridges

A bag of house-breaking tools

Jora had been wanted in at least six major crimes across Delhi, Gurugram, Gujarat, and Bengaluru, including a high-profile burglary at a BJP leader’s home in Gurugram.

Investigations are ongoing to identify his associates and dismantle his interstate criminal network.
