Guwahati police successfully solved two separate theft cases following swift operations, recovering stolen electronics and valuables.
In the first case, Gorchuk Police Station acted promptly on a complaint from Katakipara and resolved the matter within eight hours. The accused were identified as:
Biswajit Boro (22) – Katakipara, Gorchuk
Suraj Rabha (29) – Sonali Path, Dispur
Police recovered a laptop with charger, three mobile phones, and a silver coin from their possession.
In a separate case, Fatasil Ambari Police Station arrested Safikul Islam of Dhuperghat, Lakhipur in Goalpara district, in connection with a theft reported on December 10, 2025, at Jyotikuchi. Police recovered two stolen mobile phones, including a Samsung Galaxy S24 and a OnePlus handset, along with a chain from the accused.
Officials praised the quick action of the teams, urging residents to remain vigilant and report suspicious activity to prevent thefts.
