In a major anti-narcotics operation led by Officer-in-Charge Kapil Pathak, the Basistha Police, Guwahati, seized narcotics worth an estimated Rs 4 crore from three women traffickers from Manipur.

The accused—Kimneihoi, Tingneilam, and Lahlam—were apprehended while transporting 420 grams of narcotic substances hidden in 35 soap boxes. Officials said this marks one of the largest drug seizures in Guwahati city in recent times.

The trio is currently under interrogation as police work to uncover the wider interstate trafficking network. Senior officials are supervising the ongoing investigation to trace the supply chain and other associates involved.

This operation demonstrates the continued vigilance of Guwahati police in curbing drug trafficking in the region.
