In a recent operation by the City Guwahati Police Department (CGPD), a team from the Paltan Bazaar Police Station raided the New Star Beauty & Spa Salon in Ulubari on Monday following a tip-off. The raid led to the arrest of three individuals and the recovery of a significant quantity of illegal substances.

The individuals arrested during the operation have been identified as Saleha Khatun (21) from Dalgaon, Trisha Das (23) from Latasil, and Munni Khan (24) from Abhayapuri. Authorities recovered seven vials of suspected heroin, weighing 9.28 grams, along with nine wraps of ganja, weighing 81.05 grams, from their possession.

The police have initiated legal proceedings against the accused under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. Investigations are ongoing to identify the source of the drugs and determine whether the arrested individuals are part of a larger drug trafficking network in the region.

This operation underscores the CGPD’s ongoing efforts to tackle drug-related crimes in Guwahati. The police have urged the public to report any suspicious activities, assisting in the effort to maintain law and order in the city.

Further details on the case will be shared as the investigation continues.
