Gurugram police arrested a 19-year-old man, Umesh Kumar, for the murder of his co-worker Pappu Kumar, following a heated argument over spilled food. The incident occurred on the night of August 14 at an under-construction building in Gandhi Nagar Colony.
According to the police, the deceased, Pappu Kumar (35), a native of Ambedkar Nagar district in Uttar Pradesh, lived and worked alongside Umesh and another colleague, Rajesh. A fight broke out between Pappu and Umesh after food was spilled. Rajesh intervened to separate the two, but shortly after, Umesh followed Pappu to the third floor of the building and pushed him, causing a fatal fall.
An FIR has been registered at the Shivaji Nagar police station. During interrogation, Umesh admitted to fleeing the scene and hiding at various locations in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar after the crime.
Police continue to investigate the case.
