In a swift breakthrough, Gurugram Police have cracked a theft case involving domestic help. The incident dates back to April 30, when cash and jewellery worth over Rs50,000 were stolen from a residence in DLF Phase-3.
The police acted promptly after a complaint was lodged on May 1 at the DLF Phase-3 Police Station. Based on the investigation, two suspects were arrested: Rakhi, a female domestic worker, and Maqsood Alam, both residents of North Dinajpur, West Bengal.
Upon interrogation, the police recovered over Rs5,000 from their possession. Rakhi has been placed on six-day police remand to facilitate further investigation and the recovery of the remaining stolen items.
A police spokesperson stated that the force remains committed to tackling both long-pending and recent criminal cases with equal seriousness. Further details are awaited as the investigation continues.
