In a major drug bust on Thursday, the Gurugram police arrested three individuals and recovered a total of 3.06 grams of smack and 11.308 kilograms of illegal marijuana. The arrests were made from different areas across the city, highlighting the authorities’ continued efforts to combat drug trafficking in the region.
The first arrest was made by a team from the Sadar police station near Delhi Public School, Sector 47. The accused, Rahul Shokeen, a resident of Jharsa village, was found in possession of 3.06 grams of smack.
In a separate operation, Shyam Sunder Paswan, a native of Madhubani district in Bihar, was apprehended by a team from Sector 53 police station in Wazirabad. Paswan was caught with 9.25 kilograms of marijuana.
The third arrest involved Prashant, also from Madhubani, Bihar, who was detained near Khandsa Road. He was found in possession of 2.58 kilograms of marijuana.
Following the arrests, the police registered three separate FIRs against the accused. The investigation is ongoing as authorities work to track down the source of the narcotics and identify potential suppliers.
