In a tragic incident in Gurugram’s Surat Nagar Phase 2, a government doctor, Hitesh Sharma, was arrested on Friday for allegedly running over a four-year-old boy with his SUV, officials confirmed on Saturday.
The boy was playing outside his home when the accident occurred. According to the child’s father, Jitender, Sharma initially stopped his vehicle but fled the scene after realizing the child was severely injured. The boy was rushed to a local hospital but was sadly declared dead.
The police have seized the vehicle involved and registered an FIR against Sharma, who remains in custody as investigations continue.
