Ludhiana (Rural) police have arrested four individuals under the NDPS Act, seizing a significant quantity of narcotics during operations led by teams from Sudhar and Raikot Sadar police stations.
During the raids, police recovered 264.30 grams of heroin and around 50 loose habit-forming tablets. Two of the accused were identified as Gurpreet Singh of Mohi village and Gurvinder Singh of Buraj Hari Singh village. They were apprehended from different locations on Tuesday by a team led by Manohar Lal, an officer from Sudhar police station.
Senior Superintendent of Police (Rural), Ankur Gupta, stated that these arrests are part of a broader crackdown on drug networks in the region. Investigations are ongoing to trace the source and distribution network connected to the accused.
The police have confirmed that strict legal action will be taken under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, and further arrests are likely as the probe deepens.
