Gurnek Singh, 3 Others Held in Nakodar Drug Cases

Heroin, tablets seized in multiple anti-drug arrests

In a series of anti-drug operations, police in Nakodar and surrounding areas arrested four individuals on charges of drug peddling.

In the first case, the Nakodar police apprehended Gurnek Singh, alias Neki, a resident of Hairan village, after seizing 6 grams of heroin from his possession. A case under Sections 21-B, 61, and 85 of the NDPS Act has been registered.

In another case, Harmesh Kumar, alias Raghu, of Tehsil Bazar Nakodar, was arrested with 111 intoxicating tablets.

The third arrest was made by the Mehatpur police, who nabbed Bagicha Singh from Ramuwal Colony in possession of 18 intoxicating tablets.

In the fourth case, the Nurmahal police arrested Jiwan, alias Polo, of Kandola Kalan village, and seized 24 tablets from him.

All the accused face charges under the NDPS Act. Investigations are ongoing to trace their supply chains and potential links to larger drug networks.
