Guntur Police Nab 3 Inter-District Thieves, Recover Stolen Gold

Police Seize Stolen Ornaments Worth Rs 4.95 Lakh from Thieves

On Wednesday, Guntur police apprehended three inter-district thieves and recovered stolen gold and silver ornaments valued at Rs 4.95 lakh. The arrested individuals, Ch. Suresh (38), J. Venkateswar Rao (26), and M. Anil (39), hailing from Gorantla in Guntur, committed multiple robberies for quick financial gain.

Following a series of thefts, Pedanandipadu police launched a thorough investigation under the guidance of SP Sathish Kumar. The police discovered that Suresh had been previously arrested in connection with over 100 theft cases in Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka. After being released from prison on July 12, he joined forces with Venkateswar Rao and Anil to continue their criminal activities.

The trio had committed similar crimes in Eluru and West Godavari districts. Acting on a tip-off, police arrested the suspects near the Abbineniguntapalem crossroads and seized the stolen gold and silver items.
