Gregory Williamson Charged After Meth, Marijuana Found

Summerville man accused of hiding drugs during arrest

A 61-year-old Summerville man is facing several drug-related charges after authorities say he was caught with illegal substances both at the time of his arrest and later inside the jail.

According to reports, Gregory Williamson was first arrested near the intersection of GA 156 and GA 1, where officers allegedly found methamphetamine in his possession. After being transported to the Floyd County Jail, officers reported discovering marijuana concealed in his socks.

Williamson is now charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, and possession of drugs by an inmate.
