38-year-old taken into custody for failing to appear in court

by Amelia Crawford

A Newark man, 38-year-old Gregory Naschke, was arrested this week by Wayne County Sheriff’s Deputies on an outstanding warrant related to drug possession.

The warrant, issued by the Town of Williamson Court, stems from charges of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th degree, filed after an investigation in May 2025.

Authorities said Naschke failed to appear in court multiple times, leading to his arrest. He was transported to the Wayne County Jail, where he will await arraignment at the Centralized Arraignment Part (CAP) court.
