Gregory Chaney and Cassie Murillo Arrested in Vero Beach Drug Bust

Two charged after monthlong meth, cocaine, and fentanyl probe

VERO BEACH, Fla. — Vero Beach police arrested two suspects Thursday following a monthlong investigation into methamphetamine, cocaine, and fentanyl sales at a home in Oakmont Park.

The Vero Beach Police Department’s Special Investigation Unit focused on drug activity at a residence located at 466 18th Lane throughout September.

Authorities apprehended 50-year-old Gregory Chaney and 46-year-old Cassie Murillo during the operation.

Chaney faces charges including tampering with evidence, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Murillo was booked on one count of possession of drug paraphernalia.

“Fentanyl and other dangerous narcotics pose a serious threat to public safety, and we encourage residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity,” the Vero Beach Police Department posted on Facebook. “Together, we can help keep our neighborhoods safe.”
