Greenfield, NY — The Sheriff’s Office has arrested 45-year-old Rebecca Neal of Greenfield on charges of attempted identity theft in the first degree.
The arrest follows an incident on December 6, 2023, where Neal allegedly used another person’s social security number in an attempt to secure a $40,000 loan without their consent.
Neal was apprehended on an arrest warrant issued by the Wilton Town Court. She has been released on an appearance ticket and is awaiting further proceedings in the Greenfield Town Court.
