by Sophia Bennett

Grantley Laylor, 34, was arrested in Wallingford after police discovered a stolen motorcycle in his possession during an investigation into illegal vehicle sales.

Officers located a motorcycle hidden in a pickup truck displaying a temporary registration from Carvana near North Colony Road. A check of the Vehicle Identification Number revealed the motorcycle had been reported stolen in New York City.

When questioned, Laylor claimed he had recently purchased the motorcycle but could not provide any documentation or proof of purchase. Authorities also noted that Laylor had an active PRAWN re-arrest warrant issued by the Norwalk Police Department.

Laylor was charged with possession of a stolen motorcycle and held on a $15,000 bond. He was later released and is scheduled to appear in court on February 27th.
