Grand Island, Neb. — Brandon Bahensky, 35, of Grand Island, has been indicted on federal charges after a significant drug bust at his home. Bahensky is facing charges of possession with intent to distribute more than 50 grams of methamphetamine and 40 grams of fentanyl, along with possession of a firearm during the commission of a drug trafficking crime.

Earlier charges in Hall County District Court were dismissed following his federal indictment. These included six counts of possession of various drugs, including methamphetamine, cocaine, heroin, fentanyl, marijuana, and psilocybin mushrooms, along with one count of possessing a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony.

The charges stem from a search in May conducted by the Tri-Cities Drug Enforcement Team at a residence on West 12th Street in Grand Island. The search revealed:

A 9mm Glock handgun with 11 rounds of ammunition
Over 200 grams of methamphetamine
More than 30 grams of psilocybin mushrooms
Over 50 grams of cocaine
Over 20 grams of heroin
More than 100 grams of marijuana
Four drug scales
$1,044 in cash
Numerous drug paraphernalia items, including pipes, bongs, and straws
Lydia Lager, 24, is also involved in the case. She pleaded no contest to attempted possession of cocaine with intent to distribute and is set for sentencing on Tuesday.

Bahensky’s federal court date is scheduled for January 17.
