Goose Creek Human Resources Director Arrested on Domestic Violence Charge

Hilary VanOrsdel, HR Director, Resigns After Arrest for Third-Degree Domestic Violence

BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. (WCSC) — The Hanahan Police Department arrested Hilary VanOrsdel, the Human Resources Director for the City of Goose Creek, on Sunday morning. She was charged with third-degree domestic violence, according to the Hanahan Police Department.

In response to the arrest, Goose Creek Public Information Officer Frank Johnson confirmed that the city had accepted VanOrsdel’s resignation earlier that day.

VanOrsdel has since been released from custody on a $5,200 bond. The Hanahan Police Department has yet to provide further details on the incident, but law enforcement is continuing to investigate. Live 5 News has reached out for additional information regarding the case.
