Manpur, Madhya Pradesh: Manpur police have solved a chilling murder case involving a 21-year-old whose body was found dumped in a forest. A father-son duo from Bicholi village — Golu Vaskel and his father Bhagirath Vaskel — have been arrested for the murder of Harsh alias Damru Charela.
According to ASP Rupesh Dwivedi, the victim, a resident of Sanjay Gandhi Nagar in Mhow, was a frequent visitor to Golu’s home. While the two were friends, friction arose when Harsh began interfering in Golu’s personal relationships and attempted to control who he interacted with.
On the night of August 11, after a heated argument over a visiting friend, Golu allegedly struck Harsh on the head with a stone, killing him instantly behind his house. With his father’s help, Golu then wrapped the body in a saree, packed it into two plastic sacks, and hid it in the forest under teak leaves.
The body was discovered on August 12 by a village watchman, triggering a murder investigation. A special police team traced Golu to Tanda Dhar, where he confessed to the crime and his father’s involvement.
Both have been remanded in police custody. Officials commended the swift action by Manpur police in resolving the case.
