Goa Police Seize 12 Kg of Hydroponic Marijuana, Arrest Bengaluru Resident

Gautam, 32, arrested in major drug bust worth Rs 11.67 crore

The Goa Police Crime Branch has successfully seized 12 kg of hydroponic marijuana, valued at Rs 11.67 crore in the international market, in one of the largest drug busts in recent times. A 32-year-old Bengaluru resident, Gautam, has been arrested in connection with the case.

This seizure marks the largest hydroponic marijuana haul in recent history, surpassing the Anti-Narcotic Cell’s previous 2-kg haul. The Crime Branch has charged Gautam under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.

The bust is part of an ongoing crackdown on international drug trafficking in the region. A case has been registered under the NDPS Act, and further investigations are underway.
