WAUSEON, Ohio — Glenn Laurin Bennett, 56, of Archbold, has been sentenced to 25 years in prison after pleading guilty to 10 counts of gross sexual imposition involving young children, the Fulton County Prosecutor’s Office confirmed.
Judge Scott A. Haselman handed down the sentence on Monday at the Fulton County Common Pleas Court. Prosecutors revealed Bennett engaged in sexual contact with a victim under the age of 13 on 10 separate occasions.
In addition to his lengthy prison term, Bennett was ordered to cover prosecution costs and classified as a Tier III sex offender. This classification mandates lifelong registration of his address and in-person verification with the sheriff every 90 days in every county where he resides.
Bennett was arrested last year following a grand jury indictment issued on June 10, charging him with 10 counts of gross sexual imposition. The indictment specified that two counts involved a victim under 12 years old and eight counts involved a victim under 13. The offenses occurred between April 30, 2021, and April 30, 2025, in Fulton County.
All charges were filed as third-degree felonies. Following the indictment, a warrant was issued on June 10, and Bennett was arrested the next day by the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office. He was booked at the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio and initially scheduled for a pretrial hearing on June 26 before entering his guilty plea.
