OCALA, Fla. — Three individuals, including two teens, have been arrested in Ocala for allegedly robbing and pistol-whipping a man before abandoning him in a secluded park.

On February 26, 17-year-old Eron Thomas, 16-year-old Ajihais Williams, and 18-year-old Arzavius Smith drove the victim to an isolated area in Ocala, where they met up with Smith. According to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO), Thomas and Smith distracted the victim, allowing Smith to approach him and repeatedly pistol-whip him.

While the victim was disoriented, the three suspects continued their assault and stole his belongings before fleeing the scene, leaving him stranded and defenseless. The victim eventually received help from a passerby.

Investigators later determined the trio had ties to the “Getlow” gang, a group based out of Silver Springs Shores. This affiliation could lead to harsher sentencing for the suspects.

Thomas, Smith, and Williams are all currently being held at the Marion County Jail without bond, facing charges of robbery with a firearm and aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.
