Gerald Finley Charged in Fatal Deerfield Shooting

One person killed at Fire Station 57 in Ohio incident

Deerfield Township, OH — One person is dead following a shooting at Fire Station 57 in Deerfield Township on Sunday, according to the Warren County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded to a call at around 3:17 p.m. reporting a shooting at the station. Firefighters on scene immediately began life-saving efforts, but the victim was pronounced dead shortly after.

Authorities have arrested 77-year-old Gerald Olin Finley in connection with the incident. He has been charged with murder and felonious assault.

Booking records show Finley was taken into custody and booked at the Warren County Jail at 8:11 p.m. Sunday evening.

The identity of the victim has not yet been released, as officials are still working to notify next of kin.

Finley is scheduled to appear in court for arraignment at 10 a.m. Monday.
