GEORGETOWN, S.C. — Two men, Dre’Quan Jeremiah Rhodes, 22, and Dy’Qarius Ty’Jah Armstrong, 19, have turned themselves in to the Georgetown Police Department in connection with a violent armed robbery and attempted murder that took place in November.

According to court records, Rhodes and Armstrong lured the victim to an address on the 1800 block of Gilbert Street using a Facebook Marketplace listing. Upon the victim’s arrival, the men allegedly initiated an armed robbery, brandishing a handgun-style weapon.

The victim attempted to defend himself during the robbery, which led to both Rhodes and Armstrong firing several shots at him in an apparent attempt to kill him, police say.

The police issued a public request for assistance in locating the suspects on December 23, warning that both men were considered armed and dangerous.

After weeks of investigation, both Rhodes and Armstrong turned themselves in to authorities. Rhodes has already been booked into the Georgetown County Detention Center. Armstrong’s booking is still pending, and his mugshot has not been released.

Court documents show that both suspects have been denied bond. They are facing serious charges, including armed robbery and attempted murder, in connection with this violent crime.

Police are continuing to investigate the case and have not ruled out the possibility of additional charges.
