Georgetown, KY — A 27-year-old Georgetown woman, Andrea Abner, has been arrested after being accused of stealing money from customers while working at Fifth Third Bank. The alleged theft occurred in October when Abner reportedly took two checks from two different businesses deposited in the bank’s night deposit box.

According to the arrest citation, Abner then deposited the funds into her boyfriend’s account and used the bank’s ATM to withdraw the money. The theft came to light during an investigation, and Abner was arrested at her place of work on November 13.

Abner has since admitted to the theft, according to the criminal complaint. She now faces charges including identity theft, theft by unlawful taking, and criminal possession of a forged instrument.

Her case remains under investigation as authorities work to resolve the incident.
