by Sophia Bennett

GENEVA, NY — Geneva Police arrested a city resident Sunday night, marking his fourth arrest in just over a month, following a report of theft from a vehicle on North Main Street.

Officers responded around 7 p.m. after a homeowner reported that a man had entered their parked car and stolen property. Video surveillance provided by the homeowner helped officers identify and locate the suspect nearby.

Police say Jonathan Toledo was found with some of the stolen items, as well as crack cocaine in his pocket. He was taken into custody on charges of petit larceny and criminal possession of a controlled substance, processed, and released with an appearance ticket.

According to authorities, Toledo has been arrested four times since September 17, all for similar offenses involving vehicle thefts and drug possession.
