A 42-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly murdering his wife’s male friend in northeast Delhi’s Gokalpuri area, police said on Tuesday.
The accused, identified as Gauri Shankar Yadav, reportedly suspected that his wife was involved in an illicit relationship with the victim, Ravi. According to police officials, Ravi jointly operated a food stall with Yadav’s wife and frequently visited their residence in connection with the business.
Driven by suspicion and anger, Yadav allegedly killed Ravi. Following the incident, police launched an investigation and subsequently arrested the accused.
Further investigation is underway to establish the exact sequence of events and gather additional evidence in the case.
