The CIA staff of Amritsar Rural Police have arrested four individuals in connection with two separate drug cases, leading to the seizure of 505 grams of heroin and Rs2 lakh in alleged drug money.
In the first case, police apprehended Gaurav Sharma alias Bablu, a resident of Chander Colony, Jhabal Road. He was intercepted near Jai Resort in Jandiala while traveling from Bandala to Jandiala on a scooter without a number plate. Upon seeing the police, he attempted to flee but slipped and was caught. A packet containing heroin was found on him.
Sub Inspector Rajbir Singh, the investigating officer, confirmed the arrest and seizure.
In the second case, the rural police arrested three more individuals:
Sahilpreet Singh and Krishan Kumar from Shimlapuri, Ludhiana
Harwinder Singh from Khalsa Nagar, Chatiwind area
They were found in possession of Rs2 lakh in drug money and 5 grams of heroin. All suspects have been booked under the NDPS Act, and investigations are ongoing.
