City police arrested Gaurav Kelkar in India in connection with a robbery in which a pomegranate trader was robbed of Rs 5 lakh in the Panchavati area on December 2. Authorities recovered Rs 4.5 lakh from his residence. The second suspect, Pawan Nemnar, was later traced in Nandgaon.

According to police, the incident occurred on December 1 when Pravin Dave (65), a trader from Pimpalgaon (Baswant), boarded an autorickshaw at Adgaon Naka for Peth Phata. Two men were already in the vehicle. After some distance, the autorickshaw driver and passengers assaulted Dave, stole Rs 5 lakh, and pushed him out of the vehicle.

A case was registered with Panchavati police against the three suspects. Police investigations led to the arrest of Kelkar in India and recovery of the majority of the stolen cash. Nemnar was subsequently located in Nandgaon for further legal proceedings.
