Garrett Wilkins Indicted on 26 Child Sex Abuse Charges in Lauderdale County

Former Florence fast-food manager faces serious abuse and exploitation allegations

LAUDERDALE COUNTY, Ala. (WAFF) – A Lauderdale County grand jury has indicted Garrett Wilkins, a former fast-food manager from Florence, on 26 counts related to child sex abuse.

According to authorities, Wilkins allegedly had a sexual relationship with a 15-year-old employee at the restaurant where he worked. Investigators found evidence that the pair exchanged explicit images and videos.

Wilkins faces multiple serious charges including:

10 counts of production of obscene material involving a child under 17

10 counts of possession of obscene material of a child under 17

2 counts of transmitting obscene material to a child

2 counts of second-degree sexual abuse

Electronic solicitation

Enticement of a child for immoral purposes

He is currently held at the Lauderdale County Jail on a $3.6 million bond. Wilkins’ arraignment is set for August 5.

The case remains under investigation as authorities continue to pursue justice for the victim.
