Gangster Pankaj Rajput Produced in Drug Case Remand

Crime Branch questions Delhi gangster on extortion, NDPS cases

by Ananya Mehta

the Crime Branch produced “A-category” gangster Pankaj Rajput from Delhi on a production warrant on Monday, officials confirmed.

Rajput had been arrested by Delhi Police roughly a month ago from a relative’s home on Tibba Road in connection with an extortion case. On Monday, he was presented in court under tight security, which sent him to a five-day police remand for questioning.

Authorities stated that local police plan to interrogate Rajput regarding a drug trafficking investigation. Records show he faces around 20 criminal cases, and officials hope his questioning will reveal further extortion or drug-related activities of his gang.

Crime Branch Inspector Navdeep noted that Rajput is wanted in cases under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. Police are also examining his connections with Goldy Brar and Rohit Godara as part of the ongoing probe.

Several gang members have previously been arrested. On August 18, 2025, CIA personnel apprehended Rajput’s associate, Mukul Mattu, recovering over 1 kg of heroin, three illegal pistols, and 23 live cartridges. Earlier, on May 20 last year, Ludhiana Rural police arrested another associate, Roshan Singh, after an exchange of fire; Singh is linked to at least 15 cases.
