HATTIESBURG, Miss. — Two Hattiesburg residents, Galen Cochran, 24, and Ashley Taylor, 29, were arrested following a domestic incident on September 3 in the 1800 block of Country Club Road.

Cochran faces a felony charge of child abuse involving bodily harm. His bond was set at $25,000 in Hattiesburg Municipal Court. He was previously out on bond for a stolen weapon charge, which was revoked upon this new arrest, leading to his return to Forrest County Jail.

Taylor was charged with hindering prosecution and rendering criminal assistance. Her bond was set at $15,000, but she was no longer listed on the inmate roster as of Wednesday evening.

The child involved was not hospitalized, and police confirmed both Cochran and Taylor are family members. The investigation into the incident remains ongoing, according to the Hattiesburg Police Department.
