The Shahkot and Bilga police have arrested two individuals on separate charges of heroin consumption. The arrests were made under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
In the first case, Gagan, a resident of Dhandowal village, was arrested by Investigating Officer (IO) Buta Ram. Items recovered from his possession included a lighter, silver foil, and a plastic pipe used for consuming heroin. A case has been registered under Sections 27/61/85 of the NDPS Act.
In a separate incident, the Bilga police arrested Kulwindar Singh alias Gagi, a resident of Burj Hassan village, also for heroin consumption. The arrest was confirmed by IO Kulwindar Singh.
Both cases are under investigation to trace the source of the drugs and identify any potential supply networks.
