Gabriela Maldonado Arrested After Stolen Vehicle Chase in Valley City

Two Teens Also Face Charges Following Early Morning Pursuit

VALLEY CITY, N.D. — Gabriela Maldonado was arrested early October 14 following a stolen vehicle pursuit in Valley City, while two teenagers involved face possible charges.

Just after 3:00 a.m., Valley City Police received a report of a stolen vehicle on Central Avenue South. Officers located the vehicle traveling eastbound on Main Street and attempted to initiate a traffic stop, but the vehicle fled.

The chase continued until the vehicle left the road near the 1400 block of Main Street East and became stuck in a ditch. Police arrested Maldonado, who faces theft of a motor vehicle charges.

The two teens in the vehicle, identified as runaways, were referred for charges including theft of a motor vehicle, providing false information to law enforcement, and fleeing in a motor vehicle.

Maldonado was granted a personal recognizance bond and released later that same day, according to the Stutsman County Correction Center.
