HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. — Three individuals were arrested Monday in connection with an organized grand theft operation in Huntington Beach, police said.
According to the Huntington Beach Police Department (HBPD), the incident occurred around 4:30 p.m. in the 7000 block of Edinger Avenue. Officers quickly responded to a detailed description of the suspects’ getaway vehicle, resulting in a traffic stop and the recovery of stolen merchandise.
Police say the trio — identified as the getaway driver, a lookout, and the in-store suspect — all initially gave false names, but were later found to have outstanding warrants.
During booking, one suspect was also discovered to be carrying illegal narcotics into the jail.

Freddie Joe McCoy, 38, of Compton:
Bringing a controlled substance into a jail
Acting as an agent for organized retail theft
Possession of narcotic paraphernalia
Theft with prior convictions
Grand theft
Frank Covarrububiastruj, 36, of Compton:
Acting as an agent for organized retail theft
Providing false ID to a peace officer
Felicia Dionne Gordon, 38, of Gardena:
Acting as an agent for organized retail theft
Shoplifting with prior convictions
Possession of a stolen vehicle
Possession of personal ID info with intent to defraud
Petty theft
The HBPD continues to investigate whether the suspects are linked to other organized retail theft rings in the area.
