In a shocking case of fraud and embezzlement, Shivam Gupta, the Procurement Manager at Hyper Grocer, owned by Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia’s son, Mahanaryaman Scindia, allegedly defrauded the company of Rs 12 lakh. The scam involved Gupta exploiting his position by reporting inflated transactions with a fictitious company, Shree Shyam Trading, which he secretly operated.
Gupta manipulated the procurement process by purchasing fruits and vegetables at inflated prices from his fake firm, stealing funds from Hyper Grocer. The fraudulent activities came to light after an internal investigation was prompted by suspicions about the procurement process. Upon interrogation, Gupta confessed to his actions, and an FIR has been filed against him for fraud and embezzlement.
The case is currently being investigated by the Janak Ganj Police in Gwalior, and although Gupta has been taken into custody, official confirmation of his arrest is awaited. The authorities are determined to uncover the full extent of the fraud within the company.
