NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) – Two men have been arrested in connection with a deadly shooting that occurred on Sunday evening in North Charleston.
Frank Simmons, 21, and Christopher Simmons, 20, have been charged with murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime. Police were alerted to the scene late Sunday when they discovered Timothy Haynes, 18, who had been shot and was unresponsive. Despite efforts by his mother to perform CPR, Haynes was pronounced dead at the scene at around 11:54 p.m. by the Charleston County Coroner’s Office.
Authorities report that officers found the victim’s mother attempting to revive her son, but their attempts were unsuccessful. After an investigation, police arrested 20-year-old Camryn Brown on Monday, charging him with murder in relation to the incident.
The Simmons brothers were apprehended with the assistance of U.S. Marshals and are now facing serious charges as the investigation continues.
