EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) — Dareion Ashford, 31, has become the fourth individual arrested in connection with a major fentanyl and gun bust that took place last week in Evansville, Indiana. Ashford is facing serious charges of manufacturing/dealing meth and dealing cocaine or narcotic drugs.
The charges stem from a drug bust that occurred on East Louisiana Street. Police say they conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle leaving the location and found 17 grams of fentanyl inside. Authorities describe the home as a “stash house,” where drugs and weapons were stored.
Ashford was arrested alongside Deangela Bishop, from Missouri, and Dalyn Rhodes and Demetres Gray. Detectives also recovered additional fentanyl powder and multiple firearms from the home during the raid.
Police say several of those arrested are family members, allegedly involved in operating the drug and gun trafficking operation.
